The Cornerstone Carnival Was A Great Success!

8/11/2008

Held on August 10, 2008, the Second Annual Cornerstone Carnival was a great success for the over 800 community members who participated in this free event.

Children and adults were able to participate in a variety of games, win prizes, play on inflatable games, get their faces painted, draw with sidewalk chalk, and play with a parachute. All this was just in the parking lot!

In the Cornerstone building, we had two private lessons music recitals, a piano class graduation, a youth theatre skit, and multiple dance performances in Swing, Ballet, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Belly Dance, and Cheerleading. All were able to play Rockband and Guitar Hero provided by Best Buy. Popcorn, snowcones and McDonald's orange drink were all provided at no cost. Families were also able to color, make fun crafts, enter a raffle to win dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and register for fall classes.

Cornerstone Center for the Arts would like to thank our sponsors for this event: Best Buy, The Community Foundation, Indiana Arts Commission, McDonalds, and Texas Roadhouse. With their support, we were able to make this a fun and free event for the entire community!
