CORNERSTONE ART SHOW- CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Cornerstone Arts Program is looking for community artists ages kindergarten to adult to enter work in the second annual Cornerstone Art Show on April 15th, 2008, from 5:00-8:00 pm. Last year, we had over 300 entries by 150 community artists as well as exhibits by our featured artists. Prizes will be awarded in all age categories for both two and three dimensional work. All are welcome to submit work. The youth rate is $3 per piece of work and the adult rate is $5 per piece.

You can bring your work to Cornerstone Center for the Arts at 520 E Main Street during the week of March 31 – April 4 and April 7th - 11th from 1:00-6:00pm. Entry forms are available at Cornerstone Center for the Arts or online at www.cornerstonearts.org.

Please join us on April 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm for an enjoyable evening of community art. This event is free and open to the public. Our four featured artists will be on hand to discuss their work and the creative process. The featured artists are: Carol Cheney, Jasen Combs, Emily Leiserson, and Marilynn Price-Richard.

A TASTE OF MUNCIE

Make sure you bring your appetite...

Join us on Sunday, April 20th as we celebrate the 22nd Annual "A Taste of Muncie". This Muncie tradition includes a sample from over 20 restaurants and caterers from Muncie and the surrounding community. Proceeds from this event benefit Cornerstone Center for the Arts allowing us to continue to bring additional programs to our education department and additional events to our community. If you come hungry, we'll make sure that you leave with a full stomach and you'll be supporting a good cause. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens.

This event is sponsored by: Indiana Michigan Power, WLBC, ESPN Radio, WERK, and MAX.

This activity is made possible, in part, by Arts Place, Inc., the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
