Cornerstone Carnival

The fourth annual Cornerstone Carnival on August 8 was a great success! Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed the day with us.

The inflatable slide and moonwalk were a favorite among many. In addition, there were 15 games and activities, including the cake walk, egg race, fishing wall, and face painting. The kids were able to be creative at the craft table where they made paper mobiles. Penelope the clown did a great job making balloon animals, and concesseions were available because a carnival wouldn't be complete without popcorn, cotton candy, and sno cones!

Carnival-goers were able  to take a break from the games and enjoy a dance recital, music performances, and visual arts gallery. This was a celebration of the summer session classes, and gave the students an opportunity to showcase everything they have learned in the past eight weeks. Everyone did a great job performing, and the art work was beautiful!

We hope everyone had as much fun at the Carnival as we did. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers who helped make this event possible. We truly appreciate your time and service. Volunteers are an integral part of Cornerstone's mission "to nurture community connections by providing opportunities for creative expression, educational programs, and events in a historic setting."
