Spring Session Off to a Great Start!

The Arts Program spring classes are well underway. Many students have begun classes this session, filling up several classes. Some popular classes this session are Adult Ceramics, Youth Hip Hop, Adult Hip Hop, Beginning Ballet, and Early Art. Adult Ceramics, led by Jasen Combs, now has two full sections! We are also in the process of purchasing new wheels, tools, clay, and glazes. These classes will certainly produce more beautiful clay pieces to display at our Celebration.
Hip hop is an ever popular dance form. Here at Cornerstone, we offer hip hop dance classes for all ages and even offer a hip hop exercise class. The elementary aged students are taught by Abby Drumm and this session, we have a record number of students in this class. Adult Hip Hop is increasingly popular as well. Led by Arttacgo Luckett, this class is offered to adults of all ability levels.
This session, we have been able to open four sections of Beginning Ballet for both new and returning students. The little ballerinas are filling up these classes and enjoying learning the basics of ballet from Shanna Corner.
We have also had a high enrollment in our Early Art class led by Linda Rose. This class for 4-7 year olds introduces students to many types of art media through a variety of fun projects.
Cornerstone is excited for all the new students and classes this spring session. Although the twelve week classes are well underway, anyone can register for our six week classes beginning March 10th. Check out the website at www.cornerstonearts.orgor call 281-9503 for more information on our newest session of classes for youth and adults.

Supporting Cornerstone
Cornerstone Center for the Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that needs community support to succeed in its mission. If you feel that Cornerstone has benefited you and this community, please consider donating funds, materials, or time to help maintain this organization.
One way to support Cornerstone Center for the Arts is to donate your used ink cartridges. We can use Dell, HP, and Lexmark cartridges. We turn these cartridges into Staples for $3.00 coupons which cuts down on what we have to spend on office supplies. If you have any you would like to donate, please bring them to the Education Office at the Cornerstone building.
Donations can be made to Cornerstone by check or credit card. Check out our website for more details, or call 765.281.9503 and speak with Lori to make a contribution over the phone.
Some items that we currently need include a video camera, arts related books and DVDs for our library, computers with Pentium 4 or higher processors, computer monitors and quality visual art supplies.
Thank you for considering making a donation to Cornerstone!
