Cornerstone Art Show

On Tuesday, April 15th from 5:00-8:00 PM, Cornerstone Center for the Arts will host a juried art show open to the public. Come enjoy two and three dimensional art from artists ranging from kindergarten to adult. Prizes will be awarded in all categories.

Four Cornerstone teachers have been selected to be featured artists. Come listen to Carol Cheney as she discusses her paintings, drawings, and other work. Marilyn Price-Richard will be on hand to discuss how she makes jewelry pieces. Join Jasen Combs as he discusses the process of making his ceramic pieces. Speak with Emily Leiserson, winner of Best of Show in last year’s Art show and now a Cornerstone teacher, about her mixed media pieces.

Community members are invited to submit work to this year’s art show. Artists kindergarten age and older are invited to submit work in either two or three dimensional categories according to age. Work can be submitted the week of April 7-11. Please call the Education Office at 281-9503 for more information.

Supporting Cornerstone

Cornerstone Center for the Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that needs community support to succeed in its mission. If you feel that Cornerstone has benefited you and this community, please consider donating funds, materials, or time to help maintain this organization.

One way to support Cornerstone Center for the Arts is to donate your used ink cartridges. We can use Dell, HP, and Lexmark cartridges. We turn these cartridges into Staples for $3.00 coupons which cuts down on what we have to spend on office supplies. If you have any you would like to donate, please bring them to the Education Office at the Cornerstone building.

Donations can be made to Cornerstone by check or credit card. Check out our website for more details, or call 765.281.9503 and speak with Lori to make a contribution over the phone.

Some items that we currently need include a video camera, arts related books and DVDs for our library, computers with Pentium 4 or higher processors, computer monitors and quality visual art supplies.

Thank you for considering making a donation to Cornerstone!
