Middletown Idol

Middletown Idol registrations are now being accepted! The Middletown Idol competition has expanded to include solo and ensemble vocal and dance performances. This is a fun and exciting way to show off your talents and compete for cash prizes. Registration forms and rules are now available on our website. The deadline for registration is October 3rd, 2008 with try outs and performances October 8th, 9th, and 11th. Muncie Film Showcase


Harvest Moon Film Festival and Ball State Cardinal Filmworks will present a Muncie Film Showcase on Friday, October 3rd at 8:00PM in downtown Muncie in the Blue Bottle Coffee Shop parking lot at 206 S. Walnut Street.

The Muncie Film Showcase will feature six short films from Muncie and Ball State University filmmakers and is in partnership with the ArtsWalk events of the weekend.

The Muncie Film Showcase is also a great networking opportunity for those interested in film and for those wanting to get involved in film projects. An information table will be provided with details on acting in local films, working on crews, and finding out about other ways to get involved in film around the Muncie area.

Martial Arts Classes Return

Martial Arts with Peter Ellery is returning to Cornerstone and we are excited to restart the program. Martial Arts classes will meet for all levels on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 starting October 7th. Please visit our class information page for more information and to register for the class.

Financial aid covering half the class fee will be available for those who qualify and forms are available online as well as in the building. The deadline for financial aid applications for this class is October 10th.


Community Halloween Party

Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts for a FREE family Halloween party! On Thursday, October 30th from 4:00-6:00 pm, we will have fun and family friendly activities for children, prizes, treats, and more. This event is free and open to the public, so come dressed in your costume or not, but come and enjoy all the Halloween party has to offer! We are located at 520 E Main Street in downtown Muncie.  


401(k)ids Ten Year Anniversary

On October 23rd at 7:00pm Cornerstone Center for the Arts will celebrate the past ten years of the 401(k)ids Arts Scholarship Program as well as past and present participants of the program.

Participants will perform or display past work including dance, art, theatre, or music. This event is free and open to the public. Information: 281-9503, ext. 15.


Harvest Moon Film Festival
The second annual Harvest Moon Film Festival will take place November 13th-15th in downtown Muncie. A variety of independent films will be screened and community members will have the chance to view films, attend the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, and attend the educational workshops.
